Homemade Mozhozh (Pickled Pig Trotters)

Mozhozh, pickled pig trotters, is a traditional Armenian appetizer with a unique taste and aroma. Homemade mozhozh is prepared by thoroughly cleaning the pig trotters, soaking them in water for several days, and then boiling them with bay leaves and black peppercorns. After that, the trotters are placed in a brine and vinegar solution with garlic, carrots, and greens, and left to marinate for 8-10 days. This process ensures the tender and unique flavor characteristics of mozhozh.
